The name Mortirolo actually stands for a notorious, steep military pass between Switzerland and Italy. It is rarely marked on official maps. The 1852 m high Mortirolo is a legend and a paradise for gravel bikers. It used to be gravel and pebbles - today it is a narrow asphalt patch track. The Mortirolo has been part of the Giro D'Italia several times.

And now it is also the namesake for our gravel bike highlight: the adventurous and suitable MYVELO Mortirolo.

For the gears, we use the Shimano GRX, which is specially optimized for gravel riding. Its mounts and guides are tailored to gravel, it has optimized gear options and guarantees a silent, stable drive.

This is not a revised version of road bike components, but a standalone solution specialized for gravel. With the SHIMANO GRX, there are no more excuses for tackling more difficult routes or holding out a little longer.

Their gradation is suitable for a wide range of surfaces, route profiles and different riding styles. We have provided mounting points for the front derailleur if you choose a 2-speed chainring for the GRX group. You can get the GRX from us with electronic Di2 gears, as an 11-speed or 10-speed gear system.

The stiff carbon frame set harmonizes with comfortable wheels and large-volume tires. The Mortirolo frame offers you up to 5 cm tire clearance. This provides traction in fast corners and safety off the road.

Gravel tires like the Schwalbe G-One Ultrabite have a more pronounced profile than road tires, but are smoother than cross-country tires. They are also more puncture-resistant and you can ride them with moderate pressure, not nearly as hard as road tires.

In addition, you are not limited to one type of tire: If the next tour is 85% asphalt, you can put on a G-One all-round tire or one of the many other brands.

If, on the other hand, you want to ride on gravel to the end of the world, deep into nature, our Mortirolo offers you ample attachment options for water bottles and luggage.
